Over two years, participants will rotate between teams, gain deep technical expertise, and eventually transition into roles such as Network Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Program Manager. Eligibility Criteria Minimum Qualifications: To apply for the Network Operations Residency Program, candidates must meet the following criteria: A Bachelor's degree in: Telecommunications Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Or an equivalent field (or equivalent practical experience) Internship or project experience in one or more of the following: Network Engineering Data Center Operations Systems Administration Other technical infrastructure-related fields Technical exposure to at least some of the following: TCP/IP, ARP, routing protocols, IP Tables Unix/Linux systems administration Scripting or coding in Shell, Python, Java, C, or C++ Preferred Skills and Attributes Ability to adapt quickly to changing technical and project requirements Strong organizational and time-management skills Leadership qualities and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Solid project management experience (academic or internship-based) Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Key Responsibilities As a NORP participant, you'll be part of the team that powers Google's global connectivity — the invisible infrastructure that supports Gmail, YouTube, Google Search, and other services used by billions daily.
