A leading IT services and cloud data analytics firm operating in the Google Cloud ecosystem. We design and deliver enterprise-grade data warehousing, real-time analytics, and ML-enabled reporting solutions for clients across finance, retail, and ad-tech.
We build BigQuery-centric architectures that prioritise cost-efficient scale, low-latency insights, and production reliability. We are hiring a senior technical contributor to own BigQuery implementation, query optimisation, and end-to-end data platform delivery on-site in India.
Primary job title: BigQuery Data Engineer
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable BigQuery schemas, partitioning, clustering and table lifecycle policies to optimise cost and query performance.
- Develop, deploy and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines (Airflow/dbt/Dataflow/Python) to ingest, transform and validate high-volume data from Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub and relational sources.
- Author and tune complex SQL for reporting, analytics and data products; implement query performance improvements and cost controls (materialized views, partition pruning, slot management).
- Build CI/CD, automated testing and monitoring for data pipelines and datasets; create alerting and dashboards for data quality and SLAs.
- Collaborate with Data Science, BI, and product teams to productionise models, serve features via BigQuery ML or exported features and ensure reproducible lineage.
- Drive platform best practices: documentation, governance (IAM, dataset policies), cost optimisation, and mentor junior engineers.
