About Us
Profit Pixel is a performance marketing agency that runs Google, Meta and Amazon Ads for ecommerce and lead-gen brands. We are not a dashboard agency - we obsess over profitability, contribution margin and incrementality, not vanity ROAS. Our clients pay us to grow their businesses, not to report on them. We ship fast, test harder, and kill what doesn't work.
The Role
You will own Google Ads accounts for ecommerce brands end-to-end — from account structure and bidding strategy to shopping feed hygiene, PMax asset groups, search term mining and profitability reporting. Roughly 70% of your time will be on ecommerce (Shopify D2C, catalog stores) and 30% on lead-gen. You will be the person a client pings when their ROAS drops, and you will know what to do before you open the account.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Build and restructure Google Ads accounts for ecommerce brands across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen and YouTube.
- Design campaign structures based on margin, product priority and intent — not templates.
- Launch, scale and kill campaigns based on profitability signals, not last-click ROAS.
- Run structured testing: bidding strategies, asset groups, audience signals, feed variants, landing pages.
Shopping & Performance Max
- Own Google Merchant Center health: feed errors, disapprovals, GTIN issues, policy strikes.
- Optimise product titles, descriptions, categories and custom labels for ranking in Shopping.
- Build PMax asset groups by margin tier, brand vs non-brand, hero products and seasonality — not one giant catch-all.
- Extract and act on search term insights, channel breakdown and asset performance from PMax (including what Google doesn't show you by default).
Profitability & Reporting
- Work with contribution margin, blended ROAS, nCAC and payback period — not just platform ROAS.
- Reconcile Google Ads spend with Shopify/GA4/backend numbers and flag discrepancies.
- Diagnose when a campaign is "working" on the dashboard but losing money in reality.
- Write weekly client updates in plain English: what happened, why, what's next.
Optimisation & Hygiene
- Search term mining, negative keyword lists, n-gram analysis, query matching audits.
- Bid strategy selection and transitions (Max Conv → tCPA → tROAS) done without tanking accounts.
- Landing page and offer feedback — you should know when the problem isn't the ads.
- Conversion tracking audits: GA4, Google Ads tag, enhanced conversions, server-side tracking basics.
Client Communication
- Jump on client calls confidently and walk non-technical founders through numbers.
- Push back respectfully when a client asks for something that will hurt the account.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of hands-on Google Ads experience, with a majority of that time on ecommerce accounts.
- You have personally managed monthly spends of at least ₹3L+ across accounts and ideally ₹10L+ on at least one account.
- Strong working knowledge of Shopping, Performance Max, Search and Demand Gen — not just "I've seen it".
- Comfortable inside Google Merchant Center: feeds, attributes, disapprovals, custom labels.
- You can read a GA4 report and know when the data is lying to you.
- You understand contribution margin, blended ROAS and why platform ROAS alone is not enough.
- You can write a clear weekly report without AI doing 90% of it.
- Remote-work ready: own laptop, stable Wi-Fi (50+ Mbps), quiet workspace, backup internet.
- Available on Indian working hours with flexibility for occasional client calls outside those hours.
Bonus Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Shopify analytics, Triple Whale, Polar, Northbeam or similar tools.
- Exposure to Meta Ads or Amazon Ads — not mandatory, but useful for cross-channel thinking.
- Hands-on experience with GTM, server-side tagging, or enhanced conversions setup.
- Google Ads Editor power user (not just the web UI).
- Experience with feed management tools (DataFeedWatch, Feedonomics, GoDataFeed, Shoptimised).
- A POV on where Google Ads is heading with AI/PMax/Demand Gen — not just opinions scraped from LinkedIn.
This Role Is NOT For You If
- You think "Google Ads is just keywords and ad copy" and have never touched a Shopping feed.
- You optimise for platform ROAS and don't know what gross margin your clients operate at.
- You rely on PMax to "figure it out" and can't explain what's actually happening inside an asset group.
- You need a senior to tell you what to do every morning before you can open an account.
- You've never had to fix a tracking discrepancy or explain to a client why GA4 and Shopify don't match.
- You panic when a client is angry instead of getting clarity and moving.
