About the role

Summary:
The HR Coordinator – Talent & Employee Relations supports the Human Resources department by managing recruitment requisitions, coordinating unemployment claims, assisting with employee relations matters, and producing talent-related reports for management. This role also includes oversight of a Recruiter and contributes to continuous improvement in HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the Recruiter in daily tasks and development.
  • Manage job requisitions and coordinate with hiring managers to ensure timely postings and candidate flow.
  • Work closely with the HR Representative for onboarding, orientation, and background check administration.
  • Administer unemployment claims, including documentation and communication with relevant agencies.
  • Assist in employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, and follow-ups.
  • Generate and analyze talent acquisition and workforce reports for HR and department managers.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager on process improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist managers with the creation and maintenance of job descriptions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (up to 8 hours) while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 20 lbs (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Ability to move throughout the office and attend meetings in various locations.
  • Visual acuity to read and analyze data on screens and documents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via electronic means.
