YOUR TASKS
- Operate goniometer equipment according to standard procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy of measurements.
- Interpret and report results obtained from goniometer operations accurately, providing detailed information where necessary.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance to ensure optimal operations and longevity of the goniometer.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all goniometer operations are performing to standard.
- Collaborate with lab personnel to conduct experiments and gather data using goniometer tools and techniques.
- Monitor the performance of goniometer equipment and respond to equipment faults and issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption.
- Communicate any problems or deviations from standard operation procedures to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to strict safety standards when operating a goniometer, ensuring the safety of all lab personnel.
- Keep accurate records of all goniometer operations, results, and maintenance activities conducted.
- Participate in continual education and training to keep abreast with new techniques and advancements in goniometer operations.
- Assist in the installation and calibration of new goniometer equipment as necessary.
- Help to develop and improve goniometer operation procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. A degree in a physical science or related field would be an advantage.
- Proven experience minimum 04-05 years in operating a goniometer or other scientific equipment is preferred.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to accurately record data and interpret results.
- Strong knowledge of scientific lab protocols, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quickly identifying and resolving equipment faults.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to report results and work effectively within a team.
- A basic understanding of computer software applicable to goniometer operations.
- Must have the physical stamina to work in a lab setting and handle sensitive equipment.
- Continual willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and steady hand-eye coordination to operate and maintain equipment.
- Ability to follow strict safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
