Who We Look For

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager with a proven ability to lead strategic engineering projects that enhance digital client experiences and drive significant business outcomes. You'll need a strong foundation in software development, demonstrated success in managing large-scale initiatives, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. We value candidates who possess maturity, sound judgment, negotiation prowess, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Your analytical talent and leadership will be crucial in defining strategy, driving consensus on technical approaches, and ensuring timely delivery. Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-oriented, are essential for collaborating with diverse teams and providing updates to leadership. We're looking for an influential leader who can prioritize effectively, build trust, and optimize cross-functional efficiency.

YOU WILL

  • Work with the Scrum Team and stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support project teams.
  • Guide team members in story writing and refinement, backlog maintenance, prioritization and planning. Facilitating creation and prioritization of sprint backlogs.
  • Facilitate all Scrum events and other ad-hoc meetings for teams.
  • Effectively use metrics and data visualization to report sprint highlights, milestones, quarterly progress, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Facilitate estimation and planning, creating reliable and practical forecasts for sprints and releases.
  • Lead project execution, status monitoring and communication, managing change, risk and dependencies.
  • Identify risks, communicate appropriately, devise and implement mitigants, track and remove impediments, and guide the team to remove impediments.
  • Engage diverse stakeholders (e.g. Product, Engineering, Design, Ops, Compliance, etc.), synthesize complex requirements, manage competing priorities, recommend appropriate solutions and optimize roadmaps.
  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers
  • Assess the Agile Maturity of the team and organization and coach to higher levels of maturity by defining scaling practices, team-level best practices, tooling and reporting.
  • Coordinate alignment of product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development process and ensure clear communication between stakeholders in an agile environment.
  • Manage priorities, resourcing levels, time constraints and initiative scope with sponsors and stakeholders across the duration of all project phases.
  • Provide oversight of multiple priorities to ensure scope, project plan, timelines and stakeholder expectations are aligned for success.

Skills And Experience We Are Looking For

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that diligently applied Agile principles, practices, and theory.
  • Experience with all stages of the project lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and software development leveraging agile methodologies and tools while identifying risks and dependencies as early as possible.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and strong project management technical skills.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with software engineers, understanding software architecture, and translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across levels.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and delivering software solutions on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong organization skills - ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and make decisions as required.
  • Demonstrate excellent people management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders outside their direct control.
  • Understanding of Financial concepts, products and services
  • Understanding of the Technology Concepts and System Development Life Cycle fundamentals
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team and collaboration-oriented environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Be a strategic thinker, able to lead project working groups, possessing strong facilitation and data gathering skills, and able to provide creative & innovative solutions.
  • Be proficient in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Project Management and/or Agile Certification would be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software development experience.
  • Experience in Scrum Master or any other scaled agile transformation roles in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.).
  • Active participant in the Agile community.
  • Understanding of wealth and asset management, and investment products.
