Job summary
Under the general supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Administrator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This entry-level role is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, coordinating employee training, tracking training completion, and uploading certifications to employee files in ADP. The HR Administrator also responds to routine employee questions and assists with HR-related administrative tasks and projects.
Essential job functions
1. Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, and employee file setup.
2. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR documentation is properly filed and updated.
3. Coordinate employee training programs and monitor completion requirements.
4. Upload and maintain employee certifications and training records in ADP.
5. Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
6. Assist with audits of employee files and HR systems to ensure compliance.
7. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
8. Assist with HR-related projects, reporting, and administrative tasks as assigned.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous administrative or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of HR practices and procedures preferred.
- Experience with ADP or other HRIS systems preferred.

Compensation Disclosure
This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The pay range for this role is $16.90 to $20.83 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Overtime is paid in accordance with California state and federal labor laws. Additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, may be available based on performance and business needs.
At-Will Employment
This position is classified as at-will employment in accordance with California law. Employment may be terminated by either the employer or employee at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable law.
Work Location
This position is primarily based in our office located at 1200 Discovery Dr. Bakersfield Ca, 93309. Regular in-office attendance is required during standard business hours.
