About the Role
We are looking for an experienced GoLang Developer who is passionate about building high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, designing distributed systems, and building production-grade applications that serve real business needs.
Beyond strong GoLang expertise, we are looking for engineers who embrace modern engineering practices and leverage AI to build smarter, faster, and better software. You will work on cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and automation while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
A core expectation in this role is strong hands-on experience with Gen-AI tools and AI-assisted engineering workflows. We expect engineers to responsibly use AI for software development, debugging, testing, documentation, architecture discussions, code reviews, research, and productivity while applying sound engineering judgment to ensure quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Core Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang, applying strong data structures, algorithms, and OOP/functional principles.
- Implement Go's native concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels) to build highly efficient, high-throughput systems.
- Design and develop REST APIs, gRPC services, and modular microservices architectures.
Data & Messaging
- Design schemas and write efficient queries across SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Build and integrate event-driven messaging pipelines using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
DevOps & Delivery
- Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Collaborate using Git-based workflows and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Write testable code with strong unit testing, integration testing, and performance benchmarking practices.
Productivity & Visibility
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to boost day-to-day engineering productivity.
- Use your personal LinkedIn profile to represent the organization's voice and engineering culture.
- Apply basic knowledge of integrating API keys for AI tools into engineering workflows.
Requirements
Must Have
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience building production systems in Golang.
- Solid understanding of concurrency, data structures, algorithms, and clean code practices.
- Practical experience with REST/gRPC API design and microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience with at least one messaging system - Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines on a major cloud platform.
Good to Have
- Exposure to observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) in production environments.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading small feature teams.
Tools & Technologies
- Languages: Go (Golang)
- APIs & Services: REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, GraphQL (nice to have)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
- Messaging: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP
- CI/CD & Version Control: Git, GitHub Actions / GitLab CI, ArgoCD
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- AI-Assisted Development: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini
