Job Description - We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payments Operations Associate to join our team. The role is critical in ensuring the seamless execution of payment processes, managing operational issues, and providing support to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, be proactive in identifying process improvements, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy in managing payment transactions.

What You’ll Do

  • Transaction Monitoring & Processing - Oversee daily payment transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing. Monitor payment workflows, addressing any discrepancies and working closely with technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Issue Resolution - Act as the first point of contact for payment-related inquiries from internal teams, merchants, and customers. Investigate and resolve transaction issues, including failed payments, chargebacks, and fraud alerts.
  • Process Improvement - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and minimize errors. Assist in documenting SOPs and best practices for payment processing and issue management.
  • Reporting & Analysis - Generate regular reports on key performance metrics, including transaction success rates. Analyze payment data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement. Monitor payment gateway performance and success rates to ensure optimal transaction efficiency and proactively identify issues.
  • Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure all payment processes adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards. Assist in the implementation of risk mitigation measures related to payment operations.
  • Customer and Merchant Support - Provide high-quality support to merchants and customers regarding payment issues, guiding them on procedures and resolving queries. Facilitate onboarding processes for new merchants, ensuring all payment requirements and compliance standards are met
  • Adhoc Calling Task involves reaching out to customers and merchants as needed, providing guidance and support to help them complete specific tasks smoothly and efficiently

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in payment operations, financial services, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with payment gateways, transaction monitoring, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exposure to E-commerce industry is an added advantage
