Position- General Manager- Purchase

Ensure all the raw materials, consumables and other supplies are made available timely for construction operation at construction site.

 Ensure timely procurement of engineering spares and other parts for the smooth functioning of the site.

 Analyze market condition, price volatility and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and create procurement plans

 Develop alternate suppliers based on suitable evaluation for procurement of materials in collaboration with Quality Control and Production team.

 Review performance of suppliers; Initiate corrective action plan for suppliers and monitor progress Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers Monitor performance of the reporting team and provide timely and objective feedback to subordinates.

 Drive improvement initiatives and play a significant role in faster growth.

 Coordinate and oversee the procurement of raw materials to meet the requirements at all sites.

 Coordinate and ensure that engineering spares and consumables are available to meet maintenance and engineering requirements across all the Sites.

 Monitor inventory levels in accordance with production plans, market forecast, yard · and inventory plans.

 Negotiate and propose annual rate contracts

 Verify share of business allocation to suppliers and create supplier rationalization plan

 Plan and monitor implementation of alternate sourcing for critical components as a result of supplier assessments

 Provide timely and objective feedback to subordinates

 Oversee development and performance of functional staff, as per departmental budgets.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in administrative or facilities management roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in office management software and tools.

CTC:10lacs – 12lacs

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Morning shift

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
