Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL) is a joint venture between India and Russia, established in 2019 to manufacture AK-203 assault rifles for the Indian Armed Forces. Located in Korwa, Amethi, within the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor, IRRPL supports the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by producing advanced small arms domestically. The company has successfully absorbed 100% Transfer of Technology from Russia, enabling local production, future upgrades, and R&D of small arms. IRRPL has delivered 55,000 rifles to date and operates with a high production rate, delivering cutting-edge equipment to strengthen India’s defense preparedness while fostering industrial growth and local employment opportunities.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Amethi, for a GM Production at Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited. The GM Production will oversee and manage the entire production process for small arms manufacturing, ensuring timely project execution and adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities include streamlining production workflows, optimizing operational processes, managing supply chain activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves supervising a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and driving efficiency in production schedules to meet organizational targets.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Production Planning, Process Optimization, and Workflow Management.
- Proven ability in Team Leadership, Performance Management, and Cross-functional Collaboration.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Compliance Standards, and Safety Protocols in manufacturing.
- Experience with Supply Chain Management, Vendor Coordination, and Logistics Planning.
- Proficiency in using Production Management Tools and ERP software.
- Sound decision-making, problem-solving skills, and a strategic mindset with a focus on innovation.
- A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field is required; advanced degrees or certifications in operations management are preferred.
- Familiarity with defense manufacturing or small arms production is highly desirable.
