Job Title: Government Sales Manager – Examination Business (CBT & Offline)
Location: Uttar Pradesh, Bihar & Jharkhand (Base location flexible within region)
Experience Required: Minimum 10 years in Government/Institutional Sales
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Government Sales Manager to lead business development and revenue generation for Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and Offline Examination services across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The role requires deep expertise in government tendering, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end sales lifecycle management within the education and examination domain.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with State Governments, Universities, Boards, SSCs, PSCs, and other recruiting bodies.
- Drive revenue targets for CBT and OMR-based examination services across assigned states.
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
2. Tender Management & Bid Execution
- Track, analyze, and respond to RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and tenders related to examination services.
- Lead end-to-end bid management including pre-bid queries, documentation, compliance, pricing, and submission.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, legal, finance, technical) for bid preparation.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Conduct presentations, product demos, and solution discussions with clients.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and long-term engagement.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and regulatory changes in the examination ecosystem.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership for business expansion and positioning.
5. Coordination with Operations
- Work closely with project and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of awarded projects.
- Support transition from sales to delivery, ensuring contractual commitments are clearly understood.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to government procurement norms and documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and communications.
Key Requirements- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Government Sales, preferably in:
- Examination services (CBT/OMR)
- Education technology (EdTech)
- Large-scale project-based government contracts
- Strong experience in tendering and bid management for state or central government projects.
- Established network with government departments, universities, and recruitment bodies in UP, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
- Sound understanding of CBT infrastructure, exam logistics, and OMR processes.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications- MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
- Experience handling multi-state government accounts.
- Familiarity with GeM portal and e-procurement platforms.
