Your Task

The Fab1 Manufacturing Inline Control systems team in GF Dresden is currently looking for support for one of the following two topics. Both are related to Yield applications.

  • Software development and workflow improvements
  • Develop and optimize setup tools to enhance the efficiency and functionality of the yield engineering datamart systems in Fab1.
  • Collaborate closely with the local team of database experts and data engineers to gather, understand and implement the project requirements.
  • Assist in analyzing setup workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement the identified changes and new features into existing tools and develop new tools if applicable.

Special Required Qualifications:

  • Java and web programming skills (e.g. JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL query development is desirable
  • Software containerization and remote control of applications
  • Containerization of existing applications
  • Deploy applications running in Perl or Apache into Docker container
  • Identify and develop cron-like task management solution for private cloud container applications (e.g. control applications in Hashicorp Nomad)

Special Required Qualifications:

  • Solid Linux knowledge
  • Familiarity with container platforms and knowledge of application runtimes is desirable

General Required Qualifications

  • You are enrolled at a university in one of the following fields of study: computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or a related field
  • Good problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Genuine interest in delivering precise and correct solutions
  • Curious to work in an international team

Period

  • The position is available immediately for a duration of at least 6 months
  • a maximum of 20 hours/week during the semester and a maximum of 40 hours/week during semester holidays
