Summary Of Role
GlobalFoundries Fab 1 is seeking an
Engineer Technology Development & Yield to support the 300mm semiconductor process integration and Yield team within the Feature-Rich product line organization. This role involves Yield analysis and debugging tasks and can include managing process integration topics from development to production. A solid background in electrical engineering and statistics, along with problem-solving skills is required. The candidate should demonstrate a technical understanding of various processes and use a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve the technologies with quality, cost, and delivery.
Your Job
- Perform Yield analysis for experimental lots and production material
- Perform effective data mining, identify, understand and resolve complex process integration issues based on Yield detractors
- Develop and improve yield characterization and data analysis methodologies to rapidly determine yield limiters, correlation to in-line defectivity, metrology, and electrical parametric signals
- Generate new SORT test programs for development projects
- Work with cross function teams, e.g. physical failure analysis team, to resolve technical & Yield concerns.
- Drive CIPs (continuous improvement plans) to deliver organizational goals.
- Understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Work and collaborate on additional projects and/or assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or another relevant engineering or physical science discipline from an accredited program.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and Ability to work effectively and efficiently with multicultural teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Travel - Up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or PhD
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, or competitions
- Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Strong planning & organizational skills
