Role Description The Global Sourcing Manager is a full-time role responsible for developing and managing international sourcing strategies for fruit shipments. This hybrid position is based in Thane, with flexibility for part-time work from home as business needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers worldwide, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring consistent quality and supply availability. The Global Sourcing Manager will analyze market trends, coordinate with logistics and operations teams, and manage vendor relationships to optimize cost, risk, and delivery performance. The role also involves collaborating with commercial, finance, and product teams to align sourcing plans with business objectives and support the growth of the Agrify.ai platform.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in global sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics coordination, preferably in agribusiness or commodities.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze pricing and demand trends, and use data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with digital tools, spreadsheets, and ERP or procurement systems; comfort working with technology-driven platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills across cultures and time zones.
- Proven capability in strategic planning, problem-solving, and risk management in international trade environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
- Prior experience working with import/export regulations, compliance requirements, and documentation processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup from Thane, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
