Job Summary
The Global Senior Domain Solution Architect SAP Analytics will define solution architectures for programs and projects leveraging enterprise analytics platforms and SAP data warehousing capabilities and contribute to the development of architectural standards and provide direction for analytics and reporting architecture across the enterprise.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and govern solution architectures for enterprise analytics initiatives spanning SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BDC, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and non‑SAP analytics platforms.
- Define, maintain, and evolve solution architectures supporting analytical use cases, including reporting, dashboards, advanced analytics, and data consumption by downstream systems.
- Utilize established data and analytics architecture patterns (e.g., layered data architectures, semantic models, data products) to recommend appropriate solutions aligned with business needs.
- Elaborate and document solution architectures based on analytical requirements, enterprise architecture standards, data governance principles, and applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP where applicable, data integrity, SOX).
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data owners, SAP product teams, and analytics consumers to translate business questions into scalable and reusable analytics solutions.
- Guide and support delivery teams on data modeling, data acquisition, transformations, and consumption patterns across SAP and non‑SAP data sources.
- Ensure architectural governance during implementation, validating adherence to agreed designs, standards, and quality expectations.
- Maintain and evolve analytics and data architecture standards, reference architectures, and documentation using established architecture repositories and tools.
- Contribute to the definition and communication of the Analytics domain roadmap, aligning short‑term reporting needs with long‑term data and analytics strategy.
- Evaluate emerging analytics technologies, SAP roadmap innovations, and vendor solutions for applicability within the enterprise landscape, considering scalability, performance, security, and operational sustainability.
- Support the adoption of data‑driven capabilities, enabling improved insight generation, decision‑making, and transparency across the organization.
Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience in IT delivery and solution or domain architecture roles with strong focus on analytics, data warehousing, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of SAP analytics and data platforms such as SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BDC, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and their integration with non‑SAP data sources.
- Experience designing analytical architecture across complex, heterogeneous landscapes, including source systems, staging layers, semantic models, and consumption tools.
- Experience contributing to enterprise‑scale programs in regulated or data‑intensive environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise and solution architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across business, IT, data engineering, and vendor teams without formal authority.
- Experience working in global and cross‑cultural environments.
- Comfortable operating in complex, evolving data landscapes with a pragmatic and solution‑oriented mindset.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related business field; (Master’s degree is preferred)
