Job Title: Global Process Data Consultant – Planning (SAP S/4HANA & Kinaxis)

About the Role
Position Purpose
Our organization is currently undertaking large-scale global digital transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementations and enterprise data transformation programs.
These initiatives require conversion and migration of data from legacy SAP ECC systems to SAP S/4HANA, along with ongoing management of reference, conditional, configuration, and transactional data.
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Process Data Consultant with strong Kinaxis RapidResponse experience to support data enablement across planning and supply chain value streams.
This role will serve as a key bridge between business process owners, SAP functional teams, and data governance teams, ensuring that data requirements are fully integrated into solution design, migration, and implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Data Enablement & Solution Design
- Partner with global and regional business stakeholders to define data requirements aligned with planning and supply chain processes.
- Translate business process designs into master and transactional data structures for SAP S/4HANA.
- Support the design of standardized global data models, attributes, and hierarchies.
- Ensure data readiness to support end-to-end value stream processes including Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return.
Data Conversion & Migration
- Support data conversion activities from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
- Define and validate data mapping rules from legacy systems to S/4HANA.
- Participate in mock data loads, migration cycles, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure data quality thresholds and validation rules are met prior to cutover.
Functional Process Data Ownership
- Define data objects, attributes, and mandatory fields for planning and supply chain domains.
- Support business rules, validations, and derivations for process data.
- Align data structures with SAP best practices and enterprise standards.
Supply Chain & Planning Data Support
Support process data related to:
- Supply Chain Planning
- Production Planning
- Recipes and Bills of Materials
- Material Procurement
- Supply Chain operations
Data Governance & Data Management
- Support data governance frameworks and global data standards.
- Work closely with master data management and data governance teams.
- Support activities related to data mapping, governance, and data lifecycle management.
- Participate in data team coordination and project management activities related to data enablement.
Testing, Cutover & Hypercare
- Support functional and integration testing with a focus on data accuracy.
- Validate business scenarios using migrated and newly created data.
- Assist in cutover planning and execution from a data perspective.
- Provide post-go-live support and stabilization.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of SAP functional experience with a strong focus on process data or master data.
- Kinaxis- MUST HAVE
- Experience supporting data conversion from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects (greenfield preferred).
- Experience in large-scale global ERP transformation programs.
- Proven experience supporting data migration, cleansing, and validation activities.
Required Tools & Platforms
- Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP master data objects including:
- Material Master
- Business Partner (Vendor / Customer)
- BOM
- Routings
- Pricing
- Understanding of S/4HANA data model changes compared to ECC.
- Experience with SAP MDG or similar data governance tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with data migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, LVM, or ETL tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or asset-intensive industries.
- Prior experience as Functional Data Lead or Data Domain Lead.
- Experience defining global templates and harmonized data models.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and governance practices.
