About the role
The Global Policy Research Group (GPRG) is looking for someone to start a full-time project coordinator role as soon as possible. The project seeks to amplify citizen voices in democratic processes by mobilising communities to make submissions to public governmental consultations, equipping them with evidence-based policy. The consultations pursued would be focused primarily on the areas of AI safety, global health and development, animal welfare, pandemic preparedness and climate change.
This role would be full-time until August 31, 2025, with a possible extension depending on performance and future funding. This is a contractor position, not an employment contract. The selected candidate will be responsible for their own taxes and benefits. However, we will assist with administrative aspects, including guidance on tax payments and compliance, to ensure a smooth contracting experience. The compensation for this contractor position ranges from €5,000 to €7,000 per month, based on experience, qualifications, and seniority. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage early submissions, the deadline to apply is 11:59PM April 15 (CET).
Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Organizing Government Consultation Workshops
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate workshops that empower citizens and civil society groups to make informed, impactful submissions to government consultations.
2. Conducting Policy Research
Gather, synthesize, and distill research across areas like AI safety, global health, animal welfare, climate change, and pandemic preparedness — making complex policy topics accessible and actionable for non-expert communities.
3. Engaging with Policymakers
Build and maintain relationships with government officials, advisors, and institutional stakeholders to ensure that community voices are heard and considered in the policymaking process.
4. Representing GPRG at Public Forums
Attend and speak at conferences, roundtables, and public events across Europe and the UK, serving as a public-facing representative of GPRG's mission and work.
