Purpose of the role: The role is responsible for end‑to‑end global mobility operations and for preparing, validating, and coordinating payroll input files for expatriates and locally hired employees across multiple international locations, including UK, Italy, UAE, and Singapore. The position acts as a central operations hub from India, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of payroll and mobility services in partnership with HRBP, Centralized Total Rewards team and external vendors.
Role Description:
1. Global Mobility Operations
- Manage operational aspects of international assignments, short‑term assignments, long‑term assignments, and permanent transfers.
- Liaise visa, immigration, work permit, and relocation processes in collaboration with external vendors and local HR teams.
- Support assignment lifecycle activities:
- Assignment initiation and cost estimation
- Development and administration of assignment letters and mobility benefits
- Extensions, localization, repatriation, and assignment closure
- Track and administer mobility benefits, including:
- Relocation allowances, Housing, COLA, tax equalization, travel etc.
- Maintain accurate global mobility data, trackers, and dashboards.
2. Global Payroll Input File Management
- Prepare, validate, and submit monthly payroll input files for global locations including but not limited to:
- United Kingdom
- Italy
- United Arab Emirates
- Singapore
- Ensure payroll inputs reflect:
- Salary changes
- Allowances and deductions
- One‑time payments (bonuses, reimbursements, relocation costs)
- Exchange rate conversions where applicable
- Collaborate with:
- Global and local payroll POC
- Finance and tax advisors
- Country HR teams
- Review and reconcile:
- Payroll outputs
- Variance analysis (month‑on‑month changes)
- Mobility cost reports
Managing points (Key KPI/KRA’s)
- Accuracy and timeliness of payroll input submissions
- Zero payroll errors and re‑runs
- On‑time delivery of mobility services
- Compliance adherence across countries
- Stakeholder satisfaction (assignees, HR, Finance)
Functional competency
- Strong understanding of global payroll processes and international HR operations.
- Hands on experience working with multi‑country payroll inputs and system interfaces.
- Ensure adherence to local statutory and payroll requirements for each country (e.g., taxes, social security, pension, and statutory benefits).
- Support income tax filings and mobility‑related regulatory requirements.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation for payroll and mobility processes.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, reconciliation, trackers)
- Develop and continuously improve standard operating procedures
- Drive automation initiatives in global payroll input operations.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written). Must be proficient in managing expats.
