This Position reports to:
Global Motion Support Manager - LEAP
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will assess the insulation condition of rotating machines (motors and generators) and provide suitable maintenance recommendations for reliable operation.
You will be working on ABB Ability™ LEAP which is ABB’s life expectancy analysis program that helps customers maximize reliability of high voltage machines. You will have the opportunity to provide technical support to internal and external customers and ensure timely and cost-effective support. Each day, you will contribute to customer satisfaction by executing diagnosis of their assets using LEAP data according to expectations.
You will work closely with internal and external customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective report generation that drives customer satisfaction. Along the way, you will gain expertise in LEAP analysis and can network with the global field service community and product management team.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the motors and generators business line in Motion Service division. Main stakeholders are local service units, field service engineers and product management.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Validate and process the LEAP data from AC and DC measurements, interpret the processed results to diagnose the equipment condition and generate reports.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers, reflect on feedback, generate ideas for process improvement, and present reports/case studies/success stories, when required.
- Actively participate in the automation process of routine analysis, reducing the time for report generation and reporting tasks.
- Displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Recognizing and analyzing information from our databases, identifying the patterns and trends, know-how accumulation and collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver solutions.
Qualifications For The Role
- Degree in relevant engineering preferably, electrical engineering.
- 3-5 years of work experience in the insulation diagnosis of high voltage equipment.
- Knowledge of construction of high voltage machines and maintenance procedures is desirable and will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of insulation systems used in high voltage machines and various insulation diagnostic tests is desirable and will be considered a plus.
- You are at ease communicating in English and have ability to work in a global team environment.
