Role Summary
The Global Admissions & Career Counsellor is responsible for managing prospective student relationships and driving successful enrollments across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This role serves as a critical bridge between the institution and its applicants, guiding students and parents through the admissions journey with clarity, trust, and strategic direction.

Success in this role is defined by the ability to consistently convert qualified leads into confirmed enrollments, maintain high engagement and satisfaction levels among students and parents, and achieve or exceed monthly admission targets. High performers demonstrate strong consultative selling skills, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to build long-term trust with stakeholders.
Role in the Organization
This position is part of the admissions and outreach function and plays a direct role in institutional growth and revenue generation. The counsellor collaborates closely with marketing, academic teams, and operations to ensure a seamless admissions experience and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students and parents through calls, virtual meetings, and messaging platforms
- Assess student profiles, career aspirations, and academic goals to recommend suitable UG and PG programs
- Manage the end-to-end admissions lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final enrollment
- Execute structured follow-ups to nurture leads and improve conversion rates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in CRM systems
- Achieve defined monthly and quarterly enrollment targets
- Provide clear and accurate information regarding programs, eligibility, timelines, and processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve queries and ensure a smooth admission journey
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
Persuasion and negotiation skills with a consultative approach
High level of organization, time management, and attention to detail
Ability to work in a target-driven, performance-oriented environment
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
1–4 years of experience in admissions, education counselling, edtech, or tele-sales
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales/admission targets is preferred
Additional Requirements
Proficiency in CRM tools and basic digital communication platforms
