Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual care and emotional support to our residents, their families, and our staff. The Chaplain will play a vital role in fostering a spiritually inclusive and respectful environment within our community. This is preferably a full-time position. We will consider part-time for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one spiritual counseling and pastoral care to include support groups and hospital visits
- Lead services, prayer gatherings, and memorial services
- Support residents and families during illness, transition, and end-of-life care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address holistic resident needs
- Respect and serve individuals of diverse faith, spiritual traditions and beliefs
- Offer staff support, including debriefing and wellness resources
Qualifications
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent from an accredited graduate school required
- 5 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units strongly preferred
- Experience in healthcare, hospice, or senior living settings is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to provide inclusive, interfaith care
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
- Previous church experience is preferred
