Description

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    Duties widely vary. Must be prepared to work and understand the needs and objectives of the department, including but not limited to:

    ·         Ensures team member’s guidance, training, and motivation on a daily basis.

    ·        Communicates and documents any performance issues first to the team member and then to the department manager if there is no improvement to ensure that retraining and/or progressive discipline might be initiated.

    ·         Ensures team member(s) work in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any health and safety concerns or accidents to the safety team and/or department manager.

    ·         Visually inspects COGEN units and inputs logbook entries online.

    ·         Takes domestic water tank readings and maintains proper levels.

    ·         Takes EC/PH & Chlorine Dioxide levels from water tanks, adjusts if needed, and documents on paper and digitally for reporting purposes.

    ·         Checks and/or changes Nano/UF bags.

    ·         Tests water at Greenhouse fountains, front packing house, and office kitchen sink.

    ·         Cleans Ultra Filtration units.

    ·         Reports COGEN outages on the Versify online portal.

    ·         Performs general cleaning and organizing of the Filter Building.

    ·         Documents various items digitally, such as COGEN availability, Priva alarms, etc.

    ·         Makes adjustments via Argus & Priva for Boilers, PH2 Lights, and COGENS.

    ·         Monitors chemical and parts inventory. Monitors Chiller, UF, Multi-Media, Nano, Heat Sterilizer, and Heat Storage systems.

    ·         Calls Western Energy Systems when COGEN’s have tripped an alarm and communicates/troubleshoots issues over the phone.

    ·         Use required PPE per OSHA regulations.

    ·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Bilingual preferred
  •            Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  •       Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  •       Authorized to work in the United States

·         This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.

·         Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.

·         Must be flexible with schedule.

·         Capable of exerting 15-50 pounds occasionally for lifting and moving items.

·         Proficient in balancing, reaching, and grasping while climbing on a step stool or ladder.

·         Able to crouch, grasp, and lift items above shoulders to handle items from the floor effectively.

·         Skilled in handling chemicals safely and following proper protocols.

·         Adaptable to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, environments with loud noise, varying temperatures, and exposure to water.

Travel

May be required to travel between the office and the farm sites on occasion.

Summary

Lead the Water & Energy department as a supervisor, providing direction and support to team member(s). Prioritize safety, efficiency, and effective communication. Collaborate with the department manager to ensure overall success, overseeing technical tasks and optimizing operations for enhanced productivity.
