π Key Responsibilities
Tracking, Reporting & Resolving Legacy Items 1- Document and track the number, value, and aging of legacy o/s items for each unit, ensuring weekly progress towards clearing them.
2- This need to be reported on weekly basis to all GL owners (Division heads) for prioritization
Memo Accounts Review 1 - Review and assess the necessity of existing memo accounts, ensuring division heads provide missing memos by a specified date, and reapprove or nullify exceptions as needed
2 - All the division and GRC Recon should have the copy of GL exception memo specially to provide from GL proofing.
GL Ownership and Visibility 1 - Importance of having a clear line of sight and visibility for GL accounts, especially when operated by different teams
2 - Every GL owner should have designated person to perform GL related activity ( Exception Management, monthly proofing etc) and ensuring clear ownership and control
3 - Implement a process to block or close inactive GL accounts across branches, ensuring only necessary accounts remain open and active
Settlement Date Field 1- Produce and share a weekly report showing whether the settlement date field is being populated for transactions, ensuring compliance with the new process
2 - Enhance TLM reporting to include intelligent data on settlement dates for preparing monthly weekly and monthly escalation reports.
3 - Proper education and monitoring to ensure units are using the settlement date field correctly and consistently.
