Pay Rate: $34.53/hr
Givaudan is hiring a Maintenance Technician on 1st shift at our East Hanover flavor production site. You will perform routine repairs, install equipment, and support production through hands-on industrial maintenance every shift. This role suits a skilled mechanic with proven experience in welding, pipefitting, or pump and equipment repair. You will join a maintenance team that values strong attendance, cross-training, and pride in clean, compliant operations across the plant.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and equipment installations to minimize disruptions across our flavor production operations.
- Apply skills in welding, pipefitting, basic millwright work, electrical, or instrumentation as the work demands.
- Interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and process flow drawings during repair and troubleshooting.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and report deficiencies to drive timely restock and reorder for the maintenance team.
- Enter work orders and compliance data into SAP for production and audit documentation.
- Train on plant equipment including extraction, distillation, liquid compounding, washed extraction, and emulsion processes.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment in compliance with GMP and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to four years of mechanical experience in pipefitting, welding, or pump and equipment repair.
- Vocational or trade school certification in welding, plumbing, pipefitting, or electrical work.
- Forklift certification required.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
- Willingness to cross-train across multiple maintenance crafts.
- Dependability, strong communication skills, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
