Overview
The Platform Analyst will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing Esri-based GIS platforms with a focus on ArcFM. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure the platform meets business requirements, configuring ArcFM tools, and supporting GIS workflows in the utilities domain (Gas, Electric, Water, Telecom).
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Esri GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcFM.
- Customize and optimize ArcFM configurations, including templates, workflows, and tools to meet project and business requirements.
- Implement and maintain ArcFM data models, including geometric network and utility network configurations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical configurations.
- Support the integration of ArcFM with other enterprise systems, such as asset management and CRM platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ArcFM configurations, workflows, and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ArcFM configurations, workflows, and best practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in ArcFM and Esri technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
- Provide training and support to end users on ArcFM tools and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in GIS platform management, with a focus on ArcFM configuration.
- Strong expertise in Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcFM.
- Experience with utility network models and ArcFM data models in the utilities domain (Gas, Electric, Water, Telecom).
- Proficiency in Python scripting (ArcPy) for automation and customization.
- Knowledge of FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) for data transformation and integration is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
