About The Role
The Ginesys Integration Platform serves as the nervous system connecting internal products ( Zwing POS, Browntape OMS, ERP, etc) with external partner systems, ERPs, marketplaces and logistics providers. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between our platform capabilities and the integration needs of partners, customers, and internal product teams.
This is not a pure sales role — you will work hands-on with our low-code/no-code integration platform, design integration architectures, validate feasibility, and guide implementation approaches. You'll need to understand both the business context of integrations and the technical constraints of distributed systems.
What You'll Do
Integration Discovery & Solutioning
Work directly with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to understand integration requirements. Analyse source and target systems, data formats, transformation needs, and SLAs. Assess feasibility within the platform's capabilities and identify gaps requiring custom development.
Architecture & Design
Design integration flows using the platform's low-code/no-code capabilities. Define data mappings, error handling strategies, retry mechanisms, and monitoring approaches. Document integration specifications that implementation teams can execute against.
Technical Evaluation
Evaluate partner APIs, webhooks, file formats, and authentication mechanisms. Identify potential bottlenecks, rate limits, and failure scenarios. Recommend whether integrations should be real-time, batch, or event-driven based on business requirements and technical constraints.
Stakeholder Communication
Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Present integration approaches to customers and partners. Collaborate with product teams to prioritize platform enhancements based on recurring integration patterns.
Platform Advocacy & Feedback
Serve as the voice of integration consumers to the platform engineering team. Identify patterns that should become platform features. Contribute to platform documentation, templates, and best practices.
Proof of Concepts
Build working POCs to validate integration approaches before full implementation. Demonstrate platform capabilities to prospective partners and customers.
Required
What We're Looking For
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering discipline
- 3-5 years of software development experience, having worked as SDE 2 or SDE 3
- Strong fundamentals in REST APIs, webhooks, authentication (OAuth, API keys, JWT), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
- Experience with at least one backend language/framework (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar)
- Understanding of database concepts — both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and document stores (MongoDB)
- Ability to read and debug code, even if not writing production code daily
- Experience with system design and integration architecture patterns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be writing specifications and presenting to diverse audiences
Good to Have
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, N8N, or similar
- Familiarity with event streaming platforms, particularly Kafka
- Exposure to ETL/ELT patterns and data pipeline design
- Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architectures
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel domains
- Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, Pre-sales Engineer)
Bonus Points
- Hands-on experience with iPaaS or integration platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Tray.io)
- Understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC) patterns
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, given our stack)

- An ERP integration requires transforming nested JSON into flat file formats with specific encoding — can the platform handle this, or do we need custom functions?
- A customer's legacy system only supports SFTP file drops — how do we design a reliable integration with proper error handling and reconciliation?
- Internal teams need order data to flow from Zwing POS to Browntape OMS within 30 seconds — what's the optimal event-driven architecture?
- A partner's webhook delivery is unreliable — how do we design idempotent processing with proper deduplication?

The integration platform handles thousands of requests per second, connecting critical business systems. Poor integration design leads to data inconsistencies, failed orders, and unhappy customers. As a Solutions Engineer, your work directly impacts the reliability and scalability of our customers' operations.
You'll have significant influence over platform direction — the patterns you identify and the feedback you provide will shape the platform's evolution.
