Description
The Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for coordination and participation in activities involving the maintenance and repair work of the institution's grounds, buildings, vehicles and equipment.
1. Assess the needs for repair and make repairs and maintenance checks on the buildings, vehicles, equipment, grounds, refrigeration, air conditioning equipment, pneumatics, mechanical and plumbing fixtures and lines, and electrical equipment of the institution according to blueprints, sketches, and/or instructions.
2. Perform carpentry, masonry, welding, electrical and painting buildings, walls, equipment, and furnishings as assigned.
3. Assist the Supervisor of Facilities and Grounds in planning and implementing necessary maintenance repairs to the buildings, vehicles, equipment, and grounds of the institution.
4. Perform risk management functions as assigned.
5. Take regular inventory of own emotional well-being. Develop and adhere to a self-care plan to promote wellness and prevent burnout.
6. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Completed High School diploma or GED/HSE Certificate.
- Previous experience in Food Services preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or a related field is preferred.
- Consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and required background checks.
