Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GIA-certified Diamond Buyer to join our growing wholesale diamond and fine jewelry manufacturing business. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience purchasing diamonds, strong grading knowledge, and be comfortable working with manufacturer platforms and inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Source and purchase natural m diamonds based on company needs
• Evaluate diamonds using GIA grading standards
• Compare pricing across supplier/manufacturer platforms
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
• Analyze inventory needs and turnover rates
• Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation
• Work closely with sales and manufacturing teams
• Monitor market pricing trends and availability
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of diamond buying experience
• Strong understanding of diamond grading (4Cs, fluorescence, proportions, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting, filtering, data organization)
• Comfortable navigating manufacturer and trading websites
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good negotiation and communication skills
