ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and certified GHG Lead Verifier to support large-scale greenhouse gas (GHG) baseline assessments and emission verification projects across industrial sectors, particularly in steel and manufacturing clusters. The role involves leading verification assignments aligned with ISO 14064 standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute GHG inventory verification in accordance with ISO 14064 standards
- Conduct on-site audits, data validation, and emissions calculations
- Review and verify Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions data
- Support preparation and validation of GHG baseline reports and emission intensity calculations
- Perform Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) assessments where applicable
- Evaluate industrial processes and identify emission sources, boundaries, and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with national and international GHG protocols and frameworks
- Lead client interactions, stakeholder discussions, and technical presentations
- Provide technical guidance to field teams and ensure quality assurance in reporting
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Certified GHG Lead Verifier (ISO 14064) – Mandatory
- Minimum 5 completed projects in any of the following:
- GHG Inventory / Carbon Footprinting
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
- CBAM Assessment
- CDM / Carbon Offset Projects (any mechanism)
- Strong understanding of GHG accounting standards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol)
- Experience in industrial audits, preferably steel/manufacturing sector
- Proficiency in data analysis, emission calculation tools, and reporting frameworks
- Willingness to travel extensively for site visits
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in Energy Auditing / Environmental Engineering / Sustainability
- Certified Energy Auditor / Lead Auditor (ISO 14001 / 50001) – Added advantage
- Experience in handling large-scale multi-location projects
