About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical BIM Designer with strong expertise in Revit MEP to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical BIM Designing, coordination, and drawing production for building services projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to deliver high-quality, coordinated BIM models and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed electrical designs using the tools softwares (AutoCAD,Revit, Dialux Etabs, ).
- Create and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts with a focus on accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Perform lighting design and calculations using Dia LUX software to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Review and interpret electrical design requirements and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements and cost savings.
- Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure that project milestones are met and manage changes to design as required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in BIM and electrical design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience 5-10 years
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design.
- Experience with Dia LUX for lighting design and calculations.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of BIM processes and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional engineering license or certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other BIM-related software and tools.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions.
- Previous experience in large-scale or complex projects.
