Role Overview
XYMA is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Product Development and Field Installation to support onsite installation, testing, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting activities for electronic and automation systems. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in field engineering, industrial automation, and customer support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in onsite installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical and industrial systems.
- Support product development activities, including assembly, integration, prototype testing, and performance validation.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics during installation and servicing activities.
- Coordinate with senior engineers during commissioning, maintenance, and technical support assignments.
- Carry out inspections, alignment checks, mechanical fitting, and system functionality verification.
- Assist in integrating sensors, instrumentation, and supporting components for industrial applications.
- Prepare installation reports, service documentation, and daily activity records.
- Adhere to safety standards and company procedures during field operations and site activities.
- Provide basic technical assistance and customer support during on-site visits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for product reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industrial systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical assemblies, fabrication practices, fitting, and installation procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong willingness to learn field installation, commissioning, and servicing activities.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Interest in product development, field engineering, and industrial equipment handling.
- Willingness to travel extensively for onsite installation, maintenance, and service assignments.
- Willingness to travel for on-site installation and service assignments.
Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or related engineering discipline.
- Freshers and candidates with basic practical or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Added Advantage
- Knowledge or exposure to Ultrasonics, Mechanical Systems, and Signal Processing concepts.
- Familiar with Python-based signal processing techniques, such as the use of frequency-based filters and multi-domain analysis
- Familiarity with industrial automation systems, sensors, instrumentation, or condition monitoring technologies.
- Exposure to product assembly, prototype development, testing, and validation processes.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance and industrial troubleshooting practices.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards, installation procedures, and field service operations will be an added advantage
