A Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET/DET) is an entry-level position for recent engineering graduates who are undergoing training to gain practical experience and develop professional skills within a specific company or industry. GETs /DETs typically assist senior engineers, participate in projects, and learn through on-the-job training and development programs.
Key Responsibilities of a GET/DET:
· Assisting Senior Engineers:
GETs /DETs support senior engineers in various project tasks, including design, development, testing, and implementation.
They contribute to ongoing projects, performing assigned tasks and learning from experienced professionals.
- Training and Development:
GETs/DETs actively participate in training programs to enhance technical and soft skills, including soft skills, technical areas, and induction.
They may conduct research and analyze data to support project work and provide recommendations.
GETs/DETs collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
They learn to identify and solve problems within projects, contributing to project outcomes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
GETs/DETs may be responsible for documenting processes, creating reports, and maintaining project records.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities (Examples):
- Design and Development: Assisting with the design, development, and testing of products, systems, and equipment.
- Data Analysis: Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to projects.
- Failure Analysis: Investigating and analyzing failures to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Computer Modeling: Creating and using computer models to simulate engineering processes.
- Quality Control: Participating in quality control processes to ensure products and systems meet standards.
- Production Support: Supporting the production and manufacturing process.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Assisting with the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
Qualification:
· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (B.Tech Mechanical/Electrical )
· Good Communication skills.
· Problem – solving and analytical skills.
· Familiarity with software/ tools related to your domain.
