About the role

Support from infrastructure sensors is an important measure to ensure the safety of autonomous vehicles in urban areas. Finding suitable positions for infrastructure sensors is a complex problem with numerous influencing factors. In order to do justice to these, DLR has developed a methodology that automates this search and also considers existing infrastructure such as street lighting and traffic lights.
