Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Hyderabad for a Geospatial Analyst. The Geospatial Analyst will manage and analyze geospatial and satellite imagery data to provide actionable insights. Responsibilities include leveraging GIS tools, Google Earth, utilizing remote sensing techniques to support project implementation and compliance and performing imagery analysis, and supporting decision-making through advanced geospatial intelligence. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to guide sustainable agriculture through data-driven insights is also an integral part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data related to NBS project areas.
· Validate geospatial datasets using Google Earth and relevant indices.
· Utilize remote sensing techniques to monitor land-use changes, vegetation cover, and project
outcomes.
· Maintain and update GIS databases to ensure accuracy and reliability of project data.
· Organize and store spatial data in compliance with internal and external standards.
· Identify and correct overlapping polygons, duplicate features, and topology errors.
· Support field teams with GPS data collection and integration into GIS platforms.
· Generate geospatial reports and insights for decision-making.
· Assist in preparing submissions for compliance with certification standards.
· Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment on geospatial deliverables.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
· Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
· Familiarity with carbon accounting or climate-related standards is desirable.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.
· Adaptability to dynamic environments.
