About the Department
Under general supervision, will provide comprehensive dental services in a public health facility to include but not limited to diagnosis or restorative/preventative treatment of dental disease. Provide telehealth dentistry as needed for our 10 counties. You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:
Position Duties
- Evaluate, diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures, and provide preventive and corrective services.
- Advise and instruct public health clients regarding preventive dental care, dental problems and oral health care services.
- Formulates a plan of treatment for patient’s teeth and mouth tissue
- Provide dental care services to pediatric and adult patients
- Provide instruction and supervision to dental students in a university affiliated program.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience at the lower-level Dentist 3 (HCP132) or positionequivalent and current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
