SUMMARY:   The Dumper team member is responsible for the cage dump system to convey live poultry to the live hang area.  Humanely unstock live birds from the cages and place birds onto the conveyer belt.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Control the volume of birds entering the plant, ensuring the supply is steady and sufficient.
• Prepares modules/cages for pick up by the loader operator.
• Operate controls to bring the full module into the correct position for dumping onto belts, ensuring all doors of the module open and all birds are placed on belt.
• Manipulate controls to move empty modules placing module to the unloading end for pick up by the loader.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Required

• Preferred
  • Previous poultry processing experience
