Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician, located in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The GIS Technician will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and managing geospatial data, developing and maintaining maps, and supporting the implementation of GIS projects. Additional responsibilities include data management, generating reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data handling
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving
- Experience in data management and maintaining spatial databases
- Knowledge of creating and updating maps using GIS tools
- Ability to work on-site within the Kolkata metropolitan area
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with government or corporate GIS projects is an advantage
