Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of human genetics, genomics, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies
- Understanding of bioinformatics workflows, genomic data formats (FASTQ, BAM, VCF), and genomic analysis pipelines
- Experience interpreting genomic data, classifying variants, and generating clinical reports using ACMG guidelines
- Strong scientific literature review and critical analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex genetic concepts to clinicians, researchers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in coordinating and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical researchers, bioinformaticians, laboratory scientists, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Job Description
- Interpret genomic data to identify variants associated with genetic disorders
- Perform variant classification and annotation in accordance with established guidelines (e.g., ACMG/AMP)
- Prepare clinical reports, with variant-disease associations, inheritance patterns, and recommendations for follow-up testing
- Work closely with Bioinformaticians to validate analytical pipelines and troubleshoot data analysis issues
- Participate in research & development for continuous improvement of workflows and reporting standards
- Provide scientific and technical support to clinicians, genetic counselors and customers regarding test selection and result interpretation
- Support the sales and business development teams by providing scientific expertise, preparing technical materials, conducting product demonstrations, and participating in customer discussions
- Review and maintain internal variant databases, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and reporting templates.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior analysts and other team members on genomic analysis, interpretation methodologies, and reporting practices
- Support the publication and presentation of scientific findings arising from clinical and research activities
