About the role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement and Sourcing:
o Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational goals.
Source raw materials, fabrics, trims, and o accessories, ensuring the best balance of quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
1. Vendor Management:
o Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
o Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms.
o Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.
2. Inventory and Cost Control:
o Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement schedules to prevent delays or overstocking.
o Achieve cost optimization through strategic buying and vendor negotiations.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure material availability aligns with production requirements.
o Resolve procurement challenges that may impact production timelines.
4. Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and audit requirements.
o Maintain accurate procurement records for reporting and review.
5. Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
o Monitor team performance, set KPIs, and foster skill development within the team.
