Position Summary
The Administrative Secretary works with the Assistant Superintendent for Technology & Media Services to perform administrative, secretarial and accounting support tasks that require a high level of judgment and skills. Serves as a personal assistant to the Assistant Superintendent; establishes meeting schedules, prepares reports and represents the Assistant Superintendent and the department on a variety of district and constituent school district planning committees. Responsible for assisting the Assistant Superintendent with the coordination of work flow of the support team assigned to the area.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Five years successful secretarial experience in similar position or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Supervisory experience preferred
Skills/Other:
Required to pass proficiency testing in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint at the advanced skill level; business math, spelling and typing (60 wpm) required. Demonstrated ability to interface word processing and database skills with Schools Open software required. Ability to successfully multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to utilize district technology and work to maintain proficiency, as required skills sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district. Required knowledge of business math, technical office terminology and business English. Ability to handle confident information. Experience in bookkeeping and budget development required. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times. Demonstrated competence and potential in specific administrative area.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $26.88 - $35.36 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Work Schedule: 261 days / 7.5 hours daily
Paid Time Off:
- Sick and Personal Business paid time, up to 13 days

2. Respo"nsible for maintaining and coordinating the distribution of information with
representatives of the Gen NET Governing Board and related committees.
3. Supports the day-to-day needs of the Assistant Superintendent by maintaining
scheduled appointments, coordinating and preparing arrangements for meetings,
conferences, interviews, and other associated tasks.
4. Facilitates communications between the Assistant Superintendent, district and
constituent administrative, teacher and support staff as assigned.
5. Maintains confidential information, files, and accurate records for the Assistant
Superintendent as assigned.
6. Facilitates communications for the Assistant Superintendent, such as personnel-related
issues, hiring recommendations, reference checks, employee evaluations and
corrective discipline in coordination with Human Resources staff.
7. Assists the Assistant Superintendent of Technology & Media Services in the
development of Board of Education agenda and related materials.
8. Prepares various types of correspondence, memoranda, agendas, meeting minutes,
reports, presentations, etc.

19. Coordinates the evaluation of Technology & Media Services employees with

20. Provides support and training of Technology & Media Services administrative support
