Job details:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Generative AI Workflow Trainer to empower our software development teams, foster their growth, and make a meaningful difference in their daily work. This is a hands-on role focused on training, not traditional AI development. The primary aim is to upskill our development and QA teams, enabling them to work more efficiently and produce higher-quality code using commercially available Generative AI tools. This position is key to making AI a standard part of our developers’ daily toolkit, emphasizing practical improvements over creating new AI products.
Core Responsibilities:
AI Tool Training and Curriculum Development:
* Create and deliver engaging, practical training sessions and workshops for our development teams on key Generative AI tools. These include large language model interfaces like ChatGPT and internal wrappers, as well as coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor.* Tailor training content for different roles—backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA—to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Workflow Integration and Optimization
Identify, document, and promote AI-assisted standard operating procedures for key workflows, such as:*
Code Generation & Refactoring: Using AI for boilerplate code, alternative solutions, and updating legacy code.*
Debugging and Error Fixing: Teaching developers how to craft prompts to diagnose issues, interpret stack traces, and suggest fixes.*
Automated Testing: Using AI to generate tests, mock data, and add security checks early on.*
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Using AI to maintain documentation and API specifications.
Prompt Engineering and Best Practices:
* Develop and share best practices, playbooks, and reusable prompts for common tasks.* Lead 'prompt clinics' to enhance AI output quality.
Adoption Strategy and Impact Measurement:
* Create plans to encourage widespread, sustained use of AI tools across teams.* Track and report key metrics, such as development speed, defect rates, code quality scores, and developer satisfaction, to demonstrate progress.* Continuously evaluate new AI tools and features, testing and piloting them to stay ahead. This proactive approach ensures the team remains at the forefront of AI advancements, inspiring confidence in their ability to adapt and innovate.* Work with security and legal teams to establish guidelines and policies that ensure the safe and ethical use of AI.
Required Skills and Experience:
* At least 3-5 years of hands-on software development experience, with knowledge of modern SDLC, coding standards, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.* Significant practical experience using Generative AI tools—particularly code assistants—to boost productivity and code quality.* Strong understanding of prompt engineering techniques and their application in software development.* Experience in training, mentoring, or enabling teams, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Experience with enterprise coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.* Knowledge of integrating and using commercial LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) for automation or advanced prompt workflows.* Experience building internal tools, automation scripts, or working with APIs (JIRA, GitLab, Confluence).
Key Traits:
*
Excellent communicator: Able to share ideas and clearly inspire non-AI experts.*
Practical, solution-focused mindset aimed at delivering quick, measurable improvements.*
Genuine passion for teaching and helping others succeed.*
Quick learner who adapts to new AI tools and features as they evolve.
