Company Description
The Agentic Loop is an AI publication and learning space focused on the rapidly evolving frontier of agentic AI. It highlights real-world AI agents, the models powering them, the practitioners building them, and the broader impact on technology and society. The platform translates complex AI developments into clear, practical language, cutting through hype and jargon to provide actionable insight. Offerings include a weekly newsletter, daily posts on usable tools and frameworks, hands-on programs like the Production GenAI Engineering Program, and conversations with leading voices in the agent age. The Agentic Loop serves students, builders, founders, leaders, and anyone who wants to actively engage with the shift in AI rather than passively observe it.
Role Description
As a Generative AI Engineer at The Agentic Loop, you will design, build, and deploy agentic and generative AI systems that can be used in production and showcased to our community. You will work on prompt engineering, model evaluation, and orchestration of LLM-based agents, collaborating closely with content and product teams to turn emerging AI concepts into robust demos, tools, and teaching materials. Day-to-day tasks include experimenting with new models and frameworks, building prototypes, optimizing performance and reliability, and documenting patterns and best practices for learners. You will contribute to internal libraries, improve tooling for experimentation, and help translate technical work into clear explanations that support programs and publications. This is a full-time, remote role.
Qualifications
- Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in Python and common backend or scripting frameworks, plus experience with APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and tooling (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks) and building multi-step AI workflows.
- Knowledge of modern ML/AI development practices, including data preprocessing, experimentation, versioning, and use of cloud or GPU-based environments.
- Ability to write clear, technical documentation and communicate complex concepts in accessible language for engineers and non-engineers alike.
- Experience collaborating in remote, asynchronous teams, with strong self-management, initiative, and comfort working in a fast-evolving domain.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in AI/ML engineering.
- Nice to have: experience building educational tools or examples, prior work in publications or developer advocacy, and contributions to open-source AI projects.
