About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled GenAI Engineer to join our innovative team at Ascendion. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced Generative AI solutions tailored to client needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable AI models and frameworks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI technology, leveraging large language models and related tools to create impactful solutions across diverse domains such as healthcare, life sciences, finance, and more.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or related fields with a strong foundation in Generative AI concepts. Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python, is essential, along with hands-on experience working with GenAI frameworks like OpenAI, Hugging Face, and Anthropic. Candidates should have a solid understanding of cloud deployment platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git. Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and knowledge of ML Ops practices are highly desirable. Candidates with prior exposure to data engineering tools and applications in Life Sciences or Healthcare domains will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and translate them into effective AI/GenAI-based solutions that meet business objectives.
- Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI models utilizing large language models such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Hugging Face, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Build and refine prompt frameworks, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance model capabilities.
- Integrate AI models seamlessly with enterprise workflows, APIs, and client applications to ensure smooth deployment and operation.
- Fine-tune and customize foundation models to align with specific client use cases, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
- Monitor and optimize model performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency across deployments.
- Document solution architecture, design decisions, and provide comprehensive knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.
- Apply strong programming skills in Python, working with GenAI frameworks, vector databases, and cloud platforms for deployment.
- Implement and manage CI/CD workflows, version control, and collaborative development practices.
- Work closely with business and functional teams, leveraging problem-solving and communication skills to deliver impactful solutions.
- Bring additional expertise in ML Ops, data engineering tools such as Airflow, DBT, Spark, and applications within Life Sciences or Healthcare domains (preferred).
