Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Generalist - Content where you will be responsible to deliver exceptional organic social results for our brand Jumo. You will have a dedicated in house team to be able to do this
The role will have monthly organic impressions target (think 10Mn+ at least) of on brand content - this requires an incredible ability to ideate and execute fast
High quality candidates will also have a penchant for film-making and script writing. Above all, one of the most important traits for this candidate will be an incredible ability to learn new things quickly and implement those fast.
As a team, we do not believe in virality being a function of luck. A good story packaged well travels far and wide. That’s exactly what this candidate needs to believe in as well. We want to operate in a way such that millions of views and thousands of shares are very normal occurrences for us - instead of one off events.
This role also requires watching and reading a large number of materials on the internet and implementing it on a daily basis. Candidates who do not enjoy this must not apply to this role
You will be working directly with the founder who is deeply invested in the success of this work function as well as the success of this role
Accountability that comes with this role:
Highlighting few key things which this role will be responsible for:
- Ideating, scripting, shooting and publishing on-brand content on Instagram (while we focus on Instagram to begin with, over time we will want this role to focus on other media platforms like Tiktok, Youtube, Threads, Facebook etc.)
Please note that the role is supported by an in house Director of Photography, Animator and Post Production editor. So when I say that the role is responsible for shooting/ publishing - it means that the role leverages these resources to get the job done
- Build repeatable and scalable content IPs for which our brand is very quickly known for such that this directly impacts customer acquisition cost
- Own the brand language and ensure that each piece of content makes the watcher ‘feel’ something
Few objective metrics for which this role will be directly responsible:
- Organic views per month (think of a ridiculously large number and then double it 🙂) from our Instagram handle
- Number of shares on each piece of content (think a large number like 1k+ shares)
- Reduction in CAC (over a period of time of course)
- Positive commentary from audience on our content pieces (comments are a great place to assess how did the audience feel about the content and/ or brand)
- Organic purchases (as long as some of the other metrics are being met - it should have a ripple on effect on this metric)
