Role Description The General Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care to patients with gastrointestinal, colorectal, hernia, and related conditions, including pre-operative assessment, surgical procedures, and post-operative follow-up. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, reviewing diagnostic reports, recommending appropriate surgical and non-surgical interventions, and coordinating care with other medical specialists. The role involves performing procedures using state-of-the-art technology, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The General Surgeon will also contribute to patient education, participate in case discussions, and support continuous improvement of clinical practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Healing Hands Clinic in Pune.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical foundation in Medicine and Surgery, with demonstrated expertise in general surgical procedures.
- Relevant exposure or interest in related specialties such as Colorectal Surgery and Proctology to support comprehensive patient care when needed.
- MBBS and MS/DNB in General Surgery (or equivalent recognized qualification), with valid medical registration.
- Experience in gastrointestinal, colorectal, and hernia surgery; prior work in specialty or tertiary care settings is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using modern diagnostic and surgical technologies; commitment to evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, empathetic bedside manner, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
