Description
Manufacturing Engineer
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to ensure seamless production and continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Engineer is the champion for new product launches and delivering tools, check fixtures, patterns, processes and prints that are capable to produce the specified part in advance of production job start dates.
Reporting
Reports to the Engineering Manager. No direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing methods
- Design tools, fixtures, and equipment
- Collaborate with design and quality teams
- Analyze production data and resolve issues
- Lead root cause analysis and process improvements
- Support lean and Six Sigma initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Train staff on new processes and equipment
- Release accurate part routings and BOMs
- Contribute to budgeting and equipment planning
- Inform estimating through equipment/software expertise
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tool.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and project management abilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
