Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and result-driven General Manager – Sales & Service to lead dealership operations in Salem. The candidate will be responsible for driving vehicle sales, managing after-sales service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management
- Drive retail sales targets and achieve monthly/quarterly business goals
- Plan and execute local marketing activities to increase walk-ins and conversions
- Monitor enquiry-to-retail conversion ratios and improve performance
- Manage exchange, finance, and insurance tie-ups
Service Operations
- Oversee workshop operations ensuring high service quality and turnaround time
- Ensure adherence to OEM standards and processes
- Improve service revenue, customer retention, and AMC penetration
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage sales, service, and support teams
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance
- Train and mentor team members for continuous improvement
Customer Experience
- Ensure best-in-class customer satisfaction across sales and service
- Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution
- Maintain strong CRM practices and follow-ups
Business Operations
- Manage P&L for the dealership
- Control operational costs and improve profitability
- Ensure compliance with company policies and OEM guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the automobile industry
- Proven experience in managing both Sales & Service operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good understanding of dealership financials and operations
- Exposure to EV segment is an added advantage
