Job Title: General Manager - Product Head (Consumer Electronics)
Job Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Manager to lead our mobile accessories product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and enhancing innovative products that meet market demands and customer needs. This role requires close coordination with the R&D team, an analytical approach to market trends, and the ability to convert ideas into viable, market-ready products.7y
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Innovation & Enhancement: Create and enhance products that fill a niche in the market, ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative in the mobile accessories segment.
- Coordination with R&D Team: Work closely with the Research & Development team to bring product concepts to life, ensuring the feasibility of designs and technical specifications.
- Product Specifications: Determine product specifications based on various factors such as market demand, functionality, cost, and user experience.
- Market Analysis & Viability: Analyze market research, competitor products, and sales data to validate product concepts and ensure their commercial viability and competitive positioning.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, sourcing, and quality assurance to ensure smooth product launches and life-cycle management.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Engage with external vendors and suppliers for component sourcing, prototyping, and manufacturing support.
- Complete Ownership of Product Lifecycle: Fully responsible for Planning to Launch & Service
- Technical Training to respective relevant Team Members from Sales, Marketing & Service Teams.
- Future Roadmap of Products
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical or related Field (preferred Masters).
- 8+ years of proven experience in product development, preferably in mobile accessories or consumer electronics.
- Strong understanding of product design, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
- Excellent project management and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting market research and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) plus.
- Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

What you will be doing (Real Work, No Fancy Terms)
- Identify new product opportunities in mobile accessories (Chargers, Power Banks, Cables, Audio, Smart Devices, etc.) based on market gaps
- Work closely with R&D teams to convert ideas into actual, manufacturable products
- Define Product Specs (features, pricing, positioning) keeping customer use, competition, and cost in mind
- Study competitor products + market trends + sales data before finalizing any product
- Coordinate with sourcing, vendors, and factories for prototyping, development, and production
- Take complete ownership of the product lifecycle – from idea → development → launch → post-sales performance
- Work with sales & marketing teams to ensure the product is positioned and sold correctly
- Support service teams with product understanding and issue resolution
- Build and maintain a clear product roadmap for future launches
What we are looking for
- 8+ years of hands-on product experience in mobile accessories / consumer electronics
- Strong understanding of product design, costing, manufacturing, and quality
- Experience working with OEM/ODM vendors and factories (India/China exposure preferred)
- Ability to take decisions based on data, not assumptions
- Someone who has actually launched products, not just supported documentation
- Good coordination skills – you will be working with multiple teams daily
- Comfortable with ownership and accountability (this is not a support role)
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical preferred)
- MBA or Master’s is good to have, not mandatory
