Role Description
The General Manager Plantation will oversee and manage all operations related to coffee plantation and cultivation on-site in the Sakleshpur Area. This full-time role requires ensuring optimal productivity, ensuring sustainable farming practices, and achieving high-quality coffee yields. Day-to-day tasks include managing plantation staff, overseeing harvesting schedules, maintaining equipment, monitoring crop health, budgeting, and achieving financial targets and operational efficiency. The role also involves maintaining compliance with agricultural standards and implementing innovative methods to enhance production.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of plantation management, crop planning, and horticulture
- Experience with sustainable and innovative farming practices
- Financial and budget management skills relevant to agricultural operations
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication skills for managing teams and liaising with stakeholders
- Proficiency in agricultural technology and plantation management software
- Prior experience in coffee cultivation is a strong advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plantation Management, or related fields
